Description
The Stag's Head Public House is a 17th-century house that has been converted into a public house. It features coursed regular rubble and a thatched roof, with a two-unit plan and a single storey plus an attic. The entrance is an off-centre plank door with a moulded wood surround, located to the right and flanked by two 20th-century casement windows with wooden lintels. In the attic, there are three windows: a four-light and a two-light casement partly set into the thatch, as well as a two-light stone mullioned window. Inside, there is a stop-chamfered beam and a chamfered bressumer above the fireplace in the bar area, along with a small, elaborately carved cupboard situated above the fireplace. The building has a brick stack on the right end and stone coping on the right side.
