Description
The stable block, located approximately 25 meters northeast of Wardington Manor, dates from the 17th century with alterations made in 1759. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a steeply pitched roof covered with 20th-century tiles, along with stone-coped gables. The building is a long rectangular range and is single storey with four entrances. On the left side is a coach entrance that has a wooden lintel and renewed doors. The three stable entrances have renewed plank doors, each topped with four-centred arched stone heads and hood moulds that include label stops. There are also four-light stone mullioned windows with hood moulds and label stops. A gabled pigeon loft is present, featuring a sundial above the stable door on the right. The interior is reported to have a beam inscribed with the date 1759, although it has not been inspected.
