Description
Woodbine Cottage and the attached outbuilding are located on High Street in Charlton on Otmoor. The house and outbuilding date from the late 17th century to early 18th century and are constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels. The roof is thatched, featuring rubble and brick gable stacks. The building has a 2- or 3-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front of the house has three windows, with a doorway positioned to the right of centre. To the left of the doorway is a 3-light casement window, while there are 2-light windows to the right and on the first floor, most of which have been renewed. The right chimney has a rubble base. The lower outbuilding to the right includes a former cart entry, and its roof is half hipped to the right above a part-weatherboarded gable wall. The interior has not been inspected.
