Description
These stables, dated 1678, are located approximately 25 meters south of Barn House in Alverton. They are constructed from squared, coursed ironstone and feature a stone slate roof with stone coped gables and moulded kneelers. The building is a single storey plus attic and consists of four bays. There are three stable entrances with square heads and chamfered stone jambs, each fitted with stable doors. Additionally, there are two loft openings, one of which has a plank door. The stall on the right includes two small opening lights, and there are ventilation slits at the right end.
