Description
The forecourt walls to Weston Manor Hotel were likely built around 1820. They are made of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. The wall on the left side of the front stands approximately 2.5 metres high and features a two-course triangular coping that rises over a Tudor-arched gateway, topped with an obelisk cresting. The other two sides of the forecourt have lower walls, with the right side supporting railings made of wrought-iron panels. The central gateway is flanked by gabled ashlar piers that bear crowned heads, representing the Bertie crest, and is fitted with wrought-iron gates. These walls are included for their group value.
