Description
The gazebo, located in the garden southeast of Marle Place, was likely built in the 1860s. It is constructed of brick and features a peg-tile roof. The gazebo is circular in shape and is situated in the terraced garden of Marle Place. The doors were altered in the late 20th century.
This single-storey structure has a continuous band of windows beneath a conical roof topped with a ball finial. The windows are designed with diamond panes in the center and margin glazing, and they are filled with stained glass. The entrance features two curved, half-glazed doors that also include margin glazing and stained glass.
Inside, there is a curved bench fixed to the walls, and the floor is made of patterned tiles. This gazebo is a particularly attractive example of Victorian architecture and holds group value with Marle Place.
