Description
Ruck Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with cladding added in the 18th century and a mid-20th century extension. The building has a timber frame, which is clad with red brick on the ground floor and tile hanging on the first floor, featuring flint with a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high with a garret, set on a plinth and topped with a gambrel roof, and has stacks on both the left and right sides. There are three three-light wooden casements and two two-light wooden casements on each floor. The original entrance was located in the centre of the ground floor, but it has been moved to the left into a columned porch as part of the large 20th-century extensions, which also include wooden casements and sashes at the rear. The interior is reported to contain evidence of sub-Medieval framing.
