Description
Laurel House is a house dating from around 1770. It features a weatherboarded front set on a brick plinth, with the sides constructed of red brick that includes grey headers. The roof is plain tiled and has end brick chimneystacks. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. It is adorned with a wooden modillion eaves cornice and has two curved gabled dormers, each with four-pane casements and L hinges. The windows are sash style, framed in moulded architraves, with the central first-floor window having 12 panes, while the others have 16 panes. The central doorcase is topped with an open pediment supported by wooden brackets and features a keystone, leading to a six flush panelled door, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. The rear of the house has a roof with three hips.
