Description

This is a chest tomb dedicated to John Colletson, who died in 1703, located about 30 metres north of the Church of St Lawrence in Hawkhurst. The tomb also has an inscription on the reverse side for Constance, his wife, who died in the early 18th century. It features simple panelled sides, double ogee moulded corner piers, and a reverse ogee moulded top slab, with the base sunk into the ground.
