Description
This is a house, likely dating from around 1800, though incorporating an older structure. The ground floor is built of painted brick, while the upper levels are timber-framed and clad in weatherboarding. The roof is tiled, hipped, and features moulded wooden eaves, stacks on the left side and at the right end. The symmetrical facade has two two-storey canted bays, with wooden casement windows. A central cross window is positioned on the first floor, and a central panelled door sits on the ground floor, featuring a pilastered surround supporting an open pediment. The left return side has half-hipped dormers, casements, and a boarded door with a flat hood supported by scrolled brackets. Hipped rear wings are also present.
A garden wall made of red brick runs to the right of the house, connecting to outbuildings, and sweeps along the roadside to the north and east. The wall is approximately 6 feet high, sits on a plinth, and is buttressed at regular intervals. Boarded gates are located to the north of the house.
