Description

The granary or outbuilding, located about 10 metres east of Cole Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is timber framed and weather boarded, with a stable extension that is clad in corrugated iron. The building features corrugated iron roofs and consists of a main range that is one storey high with a garret and a half-hipped roof. There are leaded wooden casements in the gable ends, and a tiled hipped porch on the west end that has a boarded door. To the south, there is a lean-to extension made of a crude frame, which retains the remains of a door and window, suggesting it may have served as a stable or cow house. At the time of the survey, the building was in poor condition. It is included for its group value.
