Description
Number 7 Cumberland Walk is a building from around 1830, designed by Amon Henry Wilds. It is a two-storey structure with a semi-basement, featuring stuccoed rustication and grooves that imitate masonry. The front is flanked by fluted pilasters with Ammonite capitals. There are three square-headed windows on the upper floor, each with pointed heads and hoodmoulds, and the glazing bars remain intact. A trellis-work porch leads up a flight of steps to the street. At the rear, there is a three-storey tower made of Tunbridge Wells stone, which has a moulded eaves cornice and stringcourses, along with one sash window that retains most of its glazing bars. This building, along with Nos 6 to 9 and the wall in front of No 7, forms a cohesive group.
