Description

Number 17 Chapel Place dates to circa 1840. It is a three-storey building of painted brick, featuring an eaves cornice and three sash windows. An iron balcony is positioned on the first floor. The ground floor has a contemporary shop front with windows constructed in removable sections. The side elevation is of red brick. The doorcase is distinguished by a wooden hood, console brackets, and a rectangular fanlight. The building is part of a group that includes numbers 11 to 19 (odd).
