Description

This is a wooden inscription board located about 20 metres northeast of the Church of St. Margaret. It dates from the early 19th century and features a simple design. The board is painted on both sides and is supported at either end by low posts. The earliest readable inscription is for a member of the Pierce family who died in 1837, while the reverse side commemorates Henry Pierce, who died in 1840. However, this latter inscription covers an earlier one that is not decipherable.
