Description

This is a 19th-century water pump located about 1 metre south of Lamberts on Goudhurst Church Road. The pump features a wooden post that stands approximately 5 feet high, supported by iron braces and bolted to the ground with iron straps. A lead pipe rises from the base of the post, although the top of the pipe is missing. The pump is operated by a long iron bar that connects to a metal link bar fixed to the post, which leads down into the pumping gear below.
