Description

This building is a barn, likely from the 18th century, located 20 yards east of The Grange in Plaxtol. It is constructed of random rubble stone with red brick details and has weather-boarding on the west side. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, sloping down to form a catslide on the north side. There is a west-facing waggon entrance. The king post roof was rebuilt in the early 20th century. Attached to the east is a small one-storey granary made of red brick, featuring a plain tiled hipped roof. Additionally, there is a red brick and plain tile roundel with a cowl and wind-vane.
