Description
Bank House, Old Bank House, and the premises adjoining to the east are a trio of houses built around 1820, which conceal a heavily altered 16th-century framed structure on the left. The right side was rebuilt after it was directly hit by a V-1 flying bomb during the Second World War. The left side features yellow stock brick, while the right side is tile-hung. The building has a boarded parapet and a low-pitched slate roof. It stands three storeys tall with a regular four-window front, showcasing glazing bar sashes in fluted frames, including two bowed windows on the first floor to the left. The ground floor on the left has a double shop front, while the right side features two bowed windows with arches over original cellar grilles. There are panelled doors with rectangular overlights in fluted frames, located in the center of the front and at the extreme right, along with a door in the shop front to the left. Small mid-20th century windows have been added on the first and second floors above the central doorway.
