Description
The stable block and barns, located 40 yards north of Bradbourne House, were built between 1713 and 1715. The stable block features a red brick construction with a plain tiled roof, which has four gabled dormers on the south side and two on the east. It has an eaved cornice and a hipped roof with a central hipped projection topped by an octagonal cupola with a weather-boarded pedestal and an ogee-dome. The building is one storey with an attic and consists of 11 bays, including five bays for the central projection, and has very large glazing bar sashes. There are double glazed doors with a prominent flat hood supported by brackets, and panelled doors with shell hoods on brackets located in the second and tenth bays.
Attached to the west end of the stable block is a barn, which has a red brick plinth and a plain tiled roof that is hipped to the north. The barn features timber insets halfway up its west wall and has a central hipped wagon entrance with double boarded doors. It has a trussed roof and on the west side, there is a projecting three-bay centre with three large blocked windows. The barn also has an eaved cornice and a hipped roof with a central projection.
At the north end of the barn is a granary built in the 19th century, which is made of red brick on a random rubblestone plinth. The granary has a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped to the south and hipped to the north. It is two storeys high with three slightly irregular windows, which include casements and glazing bar sashes. There are doors on the first floor to the right and on the ground floor to the left.
