Description
No. 69 High Street is a shop dating from the early 18th century, which was refenestrated in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brown stock brick with red brick dressings and features a hipped old tiled roof with a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The building stands three storeys high and has three windows. There is a brick band between the floors, and the second floor has a central blank space. The three sashes on the upper floors are set in moulded architraves and are vertical only with horns. The ground floor showcases a mid-19th century shopfront that includes a deep fascia, four pilasters, and a half-glazed door. The rear elevation is made of red brick in Flemish bond and has a tiled roof with two hips and a brick chimneystack. There is one 16-pane sash window and a 19th-century penticed bay on the rear.
