Description

Lavender House, Wisteria Lodge, and Blossom House are a group of former public houses, dating from the 18th century. Originally known as The Queen's Head, the building is constructed of painted brick, with a plinth and a tall, hipped roof covered in plain tiles. Chimneys are located on the ridge of the roof. An 19th-century wing was added to the south, creating a T-shaped plan and featuring a shallower, hipped tiled roof. The north elevation is built with coursed rubble blocks. The building is two storeys high and has irregular 19th-century windows with glazing bar sashes. Entrances are located in the east end of the 18th-century block, the second bay from the left of the 19th-century block, and to the south of the west wing of the 18th-century block.
