Description

This is an early 17th-century cottage row, situated on the south-east side of The Street in Ightam. The building is constructed of red and blue brick laid in a distinctive chequered rat-trap bond. It has a plain tiled roof with two ridge stacks. The two-storey facade features four windows, all with glazing bar sashes. There are three half-glazed doors, one at the entrance on the left side, two in the centre, and a fourth door originally on the right side, which has been carefully blocked up and replaced with an additional sash window. The building is listed for its interesting construction.
