Description

This is a house, now divided into three cottages, dating back to the 16th century. It is arranged in an L-shape, with a projecting gabled wing on the right. The ground floor is a mix of painted brick and stone, with some exposed framing, while the first floor is largely weatherboarded. The projecting wing's end has exposed timber framing with plaster infill. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped design on the left side and at the end of the projecting wing. A tile-hung gable is visible at the left end. A central brick stack is located on the left-hand block. The projecting wing has two storeys and a garret. The left-hand block has an irregular arrangement of windows, while the projecting wing has two casement windows. There are two boarded doors in the centres of each of the two equal-width cottages in the left-hand wing. A single boarded door is situated on the right-hand side of the projecting wing's end. The west side of number 4 is weatherboarded, with a brick stack at the angle of the hip. The front of number 4 has two windows and a central boarded door.
