Description
This is an 18th-century shop, altered in the mid-19th century. It is part of a terrace that includes the Bear Hotel. The front of the shop is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a stone coping along the roofline and rusticated stucco quoins. The left side elevation is tile-hung. The roof is tiled, with a brick chimneystack at each end. The shop has two storeys and attics; the attic contains one flat-roofed dormer, and the first floor has two mid-19th century eight-pane canted bays. The ground floor has a 19th-century shopfront, divided into four panels, with a central doorcase featuring a flat hood supported by brackets.
