Description

Nos 41-55 on High Street is a terrace of houses built around 1830. The buildings are made of grey limewashed brick and have slate roofs. There are eight coupled gables facing both the river and the street, with two additional gables at the east end of the terrace (No 41). Each gable features a recessed brick panel, while the end gables have recessed brick crosses. The eaves are corbelled in brick and are connected by a continuous horizontal corbelled brick string-course. The terrace is two storeys high and has eight sash windows with 'Gothick' headed glazing bars facing the road, along with boarded doors.
