Description

The tomb chest to Francis William Lemm, who died in 1851, is located about 5 metres north-west of the Church of St. George in Ramsgate. It is made of stone and designed in a Neo-classical style. The tomb features a weathered, double-stepped and moulded plinth on a base, with incised corner piers topped with capitals that support a top slab. This slab has four pedimented faces adorned with simple scrolls and foliation. The side panels are raised and fielded, with hollow chamfered corners.
