Description

Arlington House, located at No. 5 Addington Street, is a late 18th-century building featuring three storeys and a basement constructed of stock brick. The building has stone coping and three sashes with intact glazing bars, two of which are three-light windows. The ground floor is distinguished by two three-light curved bow windows. A central round-headed doorcase is topped with a semi-circular fanlight and includes a six-panelled door. Access to the entrance is via six steps, and the area is enclosed with railings that have a fleur de lys design. Arlington House is part of a group with Nos 1 to 13 (odd) and No 13 St. John's Road.
