Description
ST AUGUSTINE'S ROAD TR 3764 SE (South side) 18/364 "White Cliffs" and adjacent walls and outbuildings north of West Cliff Lodge GV II House, outbuildings and walls with gate. Early Cl9, altered early C20. Stock brick with slate roof. Two storeys with hipped roof and stack corbelled out of front wall. Casement and sash on 1st floor, blocked ground floor openings. Half glazed door to right with rendered shell hood and fluted bracketted pilasters. Outbuildings to left, also 2 storeys with casements and stack on front walls with extending to left on brick wall some 8 feet high, with panelled door about 15 metres along with capped piers. Wall stepped down to end left and curved in to gates, with iron carriage and pedestrian gales and capped piers. Although now a separate holding, the house was in origin outbuildings to West Cliff Lodge such as still exist adjacent. Included for group value.
