Description

The Old Maltings is an early 19th-century house located on Cliff Road, Waldringfield. Originally named Cliff House, it is constructed of red brick with black glazed pantiles, and has a “T” shape. A 20th-century wing has been added to the rear, replacing an earlier wing. Brick stacks are visible on the ridge at the gable ends. The house is three storeys high, with a two-storey wing to the right. The windows have glazing bars and are set within gauged flat brick arches. The entrance doorway has a flat canopy supported by slender wooden columns, fluted pilasters, and a frieze. It features a six-panelled door.
