Description
The Convent Cottages, dated 1901, are a row of cottages designed in the style of the 17th century, significantly enhancing the character of the village. They are two storeys high and constructed from squared flints. The cottages feature a tiled roof with Flemish curved gables at each end and three tall brick chimneystacks. The semi-dormers are fitted with casement windows. Red brick is used for the long and short quoins, window dressings, and stringcourse. On the ground floor, there are four three-light casements and two paired doorcases, each topped with tiled sloping weather hoods. The Convent Cottages form a cohesive group.
