Description

This barn, located about 30 metres northeast of Minster Abbey, is of 16th century origin or earlier. It is constructed from flint and rubble, with some parts rebuilt using brick and weatherboarding on the eastern elevation. The roof is made of corrugated iron, and there are rounded buttresses on the right return. The barn features central boarded cart doors. Inside, it has three bays with aisles, passing shores to the arcade posts, and renewed elements above the tie beam level. Originally, the structure was much larger and is said to have been re-erected at Sevenscore Farm after suffering lightning damage. This barn is included for its group value.
