Description

The Hermitage is a house built around 1818, with an extension added in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of white stock brick and features a thatched roof, with the extension made of brick and flint and a plain tiled roof. The building has one storey and an attic, which includes three semi-dormers fitted with glazing bar sashes. There are stacks located at the rear center and rear right of the house. On the ground floor, there are two four-light mullioned windows and a central door with raised and fielded panels set in a gabled porch. To the right, there is a two-storey wing that has a gable end facing the road, with a stack at the rear and segmentally headed four-light mullioned windows on each floor.
