Description

Colleys Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It is built with a timber frame and now clad in painted brick. The roof is tiled and hipped, with a catslide extending to the left and a half-hipped section to the right. There is a hipped dormer window and stacks (chimneys) located centrally to the left and at the left end of the house. The front features three wooden casement windows and a ribbed wooden door with sidelights, set within a hipped porch on the left side. Inside, the timber frame is fully exposed, resting on flint footings, and exhibits quirk and tongue moulded beam ends, as well as an inglenook fireplace. The roof structure has been renewed.
