Description

Nos 95 and 95A, High Street, Milton Regis, form a single building with an L-shaped street frontage, the projection being a later addition. The original section dates from the 17th century and was refaced in the 18th century, while the projection is likely from the early 19th century. The building is two storeys and has attics, constructed of painted brick. It features a tiled roof with two hipped dormers and a wooden eaves cornice. Four sash windows with intact glazing bars are visible. The original portion has a string course and a doorcase with pilasters, a projecting cornice, a semi-circular fanlight, and a door made of six moulded panels. The projection has a modern shop front and a curved window on the first floor. No 95A is accessible via a passageway to the left. The building forms part of a group of buildings with Nos 65, 67, 71, 71A, 73, 73A, 75, 77, 79, 83, 85, 87, 87A, 89, 91, 93, 97, 97A, 99 and 99A.
