Graveney Court

Graveney Court is a house built around 1420, with an 18th-century extension. It features a timber frame that is plastered and weather boarded, along with a painted brick extension. The roof is plain tiled and hipped to the left, with a central jetty supported by brackets and a moulded barge board. The building stands two storeys high on a plinth, with a gable at the centre and chimney stacks located at the centre right and end right. There are five wooden casement windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, with two additional casements on each floor in the 18th-century extension at the right end. The central door has moulded panels and sidelights. Graveney Court was built by John Martyn, who was a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas and is buried in the nearby Graveney Church.
