Description
The Royal Fountain Hotel is an 18th-century hotel with connections to Admiral Nelson, located at No. 15 West Street in Blue Town, Sheerness. This corner building features three storeys and attics, with its West Street elevation covered in rough plaster and paint. It has four dormers and a painted plinth, with four windows on each floor. The first floor showcases bow windows with panelled sash boxes and a moulded head, while the ground floor has three cambered sash windows. The front entrance is distinguished by moulded pilasters, an architrave, panelled reveals, and a Vitruvian scroll frieze, along with a grooved surround. The south elevation is made of brown brick and also has three cambered sash windows, along with a painted plinth.
