Description
The Former County Court, located on High Street in Blue Town, Sheerness, is a mid-19th century building. It stands two storeys tall and is constructed of buff brick with stuccoed dressings. The building has an asymmetrical shape, featuring a parapet adorned with a Royal Cartouche and a bracket cornice.
The front facade includes three large round-headed sash windows set within rusticated architraves that are flanked by pilasters. This central section projects from the main body of the building and is accompanied by two cambered doorcases. To the right, there is another projecting section that contains a tripartite window topped with a heavy cornice. Adjacent to this is a recessed single-storey portion with one sash window. The building is finished with end quoins and a plinth.
