Description
This is a semi-detached pair of houses located on The Mall, Faversham, dating from 1846. Constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof, they are built in an unusual Tudor lodge style. The houses are two storeys high with a basement, and feature quoins highlighted on the exterior. The roof has stacks positioned to the left, right and rear centre, and a central gable with a pendant bargeboard and a datestone inscribed "AD 1846." The first floor has three multi-paned cross windows; the ground floor has a sash window to the left and a casement window to the right. Windows on both floors at the right end have louvred shutters. Basement openings are present on both the left and right sides. The central entrance has paired ribbed and studded doors set within a single four-centred arched surround, topped with a moulded hood and approached by flights of two steps. Iron railings surround the steps and the basement area on the right-hand side.
