Description

No. 6 Court Street is a 17th-century timber-framed building that was refronted in the 18th century. It features an overhang on the second floor supported by a bressummer and brackets. The building has three storeys and three windows. The wooden front is painted and grooved to resemble masonry, topped with a parapet. There are two small bays on the first floor with intact glazing bars, while the three sash windows above do not have glazing bars. The ground floor has a modern shop front. No. 6 is part of a group that includes Nos. 1 to 11 (consecutive) and 11A, as well as Nos. 4 to 7 (consecutive) and No. 7A on The Market Place.
