Description

This barn, located 20 yards west of Oziers Farmhouse, dates back to the mid-16th century. It features a timber frame set on a plinth made of flint and rubble, and it is clad with buttressed red brick. The roof is covered with corrugated iron and has a gabled design with a lower hipped extension to the right. On the left side, there are double doors, and to the right, there is a hipped end strey. Inside, the barn consists of five bays and aisles, showcasing quadrant bracing on the arcade posts and a clasped purlin roof. There is also a three-bay extension without aisles. This barn may be connected to Richard Harry's efforts to reintroduce fruit growing to Kent at this site in 1533.
