Description

Old Thatch is a 15th-century hall house, now a house, located in Doddington Bistock. The building is timber framed with exposed framing and plaster infill, set upon a flint plinth. It has a thatched roof. The house is one storey with an attic, featuring an end-jetty to the right. The roof is hipped, with two dormers: one tiled with a coved base to the left, and one with a segmental base to the right. A projecting stack is located at the end to the left, and a ridge stack to the right centre. The ground floor has two wood casement windows, and a central oriel. A boarded door with a rectangular fanlight and flat hood is positioned towards the centre right.
