Description
The Old Vicarage is a vicarage, now a residential home, dating from the early 19th century, with some interior details from the 17th century. It features a painted brick exterior and a slate roof. The building has three storeys and includes a verandah supported by iron posts, with a traceried arcade and a glass roof. The roof is hipped, with chimney stacks on the left and a projecting stack at the right end. There are five windows on the first and second floors, two of which are blocked on the second floor, while the remaining windows are metal casements. On the ground floor, there are two wooden casements and a half-traceried door with sidelights to the left. The left side of the building has 19th and 20th-century extensions. Inside, there are 17th-century details, including what was originally a chained library, now associated with the Faversham Society.
