Description

The Old House is a 17th and 18th century house located in Doddington. It is constructed of painted brick with a plain tiled roof. The house follows a lobby entry plan. It is two storeys high, with the first floor recessed to the right. The ground floor on the right-hand side features English bond brickwork. The roof is half-hipped, with stacks positioned at the centre and projecting to the right end. There are two wooden casement windows on the first floor, three on the ground floor – one of which is within a blocked doorway - with leaded lights. A plank and stud door leads to a 20th century single-window, flat-roofed extension on the left.
