Description
A house, dating from the 16th century, now divided into three cottages. The house is timber-framed and exposed, with plaster infill, and a section underbuilt with painted brick. It has a plain tiled roof. The lobby entrance is of four framed bays. The ground floor stands on a flint plinth, and the first floor has a continuous jetty supported by brackets. The roof is hipped with gablets, and stacks project from the left and right ends. A ridge stack is located centre-right, and the central gable has bargeboards with pendants. There are five wooden casement windows on the first floor, two on the ground floor, with a bay window below the central gable and at the left end. A boarded door and a one-panelled door stand side by side at the centre-right. The house was historically the Court Lodge and held some local importance, as noted by Igglesden in 1931.
