Description
Thrognall is a house dating from around 1606, with later alterations in the 18th century. It features a stucco exterior and a plain tiled roof. The 18th-century part of the house incorporates an earlier timber-framed structure at the rear. The building has two storeys, a basement, and an attic, all set on a plinth with a plat band and a hipped roof. There are two hipped dormers and a stack on the left side. The windows are regularly arranged, with four glazing bar sashes on the first floor and three on the ground floor, all featuring gauged heads. The central entrance door has six raised and fielded panels, topped with a semi-circular fanlight and a broken pediment supported by pilasters. To the left, there is a recessed two-storey wing with one glazing bar sash on each floor. Inside, the rear timber-framed structure includes a mantel beam dated 1606A.
