Description
Chesley House is a house from the 16th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber frame clad with red brick and has a plain tiled roof. The building consists of two parallel ranges, with the rear section dating to around 1830 and constructed in buff brick. The house is two storeys high and has a cornice at the parapet, along with a hipped roof that includes gablets and stacks at the rear centre and left end.
On the first floor, there are four windows that alternate between tripartite and glazing bar sashes, while the ground floor has two tripartite windows and one glazing bar sash, all of which have gauged heads. The front door is located to the centre left and consists of six panels, with the top two being glazed, set in a panelled surround that features a frieze and pediment. There is also a door with six raised and fielded panels with a gauged head located at the end right.
