Description

Hugh Place comprises two late 18th-century buildings, numbers 6 and 7. Number 6 is a two-storey dwelling house, and number 7, to the right, is a warehouse with a slightly higher frontage. Both buildings have tiled hipped roofs and red brick facades. Number 6 features a 12-light casement window above and another at the left end below. It has a wooden boarded door within a segmental headed frame. Number 7 has a wooden boarded door in the centre of each floor, flanked by windows; one window to each side on the first floor and one to the left on the ground floor. Numbers 1 to 7 together form a group with the east front of number 15 and the west front of number 14 Market Place.
