Description

Nos 113 and 115 on High Street in Milton Regis is a building that dates back to the 18th century. It is timber-framed but has been refronted, featuring a two-storey design. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the upper floor is plastered, with a cornice separating the two levels in place of a traditional bressumer. The building has a tiled roof with a heavy modillion eaves cornice. There are five sash windows set within wide architrave surrounds, and the glazing bars remain intact. The doorcase is framed by a moulded architrave surround and topped with a pediment supported by brackets. Some evidence of the original timber framing can still be seen on the north gable end. Nos 113 to 117 (odd) are part of a group of buildings.
