Description

Nos 68 and 70 on High Street in Milton Regis is a two-storey building that dates back to the 18th century. It is timber-framed and has been refaced, while still showing the overhang of its first floor supported by a bressumer. The ground floor features painted brick above plaster, and the roof is tiled with a parapet and a dentilled cornice. The building includes two sash windows, a small bay window on the ground floor of No 70, and a modern shop front for No 68. The doorcases have four-centred heads, with the one for No 70 featuring a carved spandrel that reads "Thomas 1585 Bradburi" and "Rev John 1801. Laugh" above it. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 52 to 76 (even), 80 to 104 (even), 104A, and 110.
