Description

73 and 73A High Street, formerly known as the George Inn, is a building from the 18th century located in Milton Regis. It is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick with a tiled roof featuring wooden eaves cornice. The front has six sash windows without glazing bars, which are framed with architraves on the ground floor. There is a modern shop front. At the back, to the south of the yard, there is an L-shaped wing that is timber-framed but now covered with weatherboarding. This wing is also two storeys high and has a tiled roof with three gables that have moulded bargeboards and three casement windows. The building is part of a group that includes several other properties along the High Street.
