Description

Bank House is a late medieval house, likely originally a hall, located on the south side of High Street in Chipstead. The building has two storeys, with the older section on the left featuring a single window that faces the road. To the right, there is an 18th-century addition, also with one window. The house has a high-pitched hipped tiled roof, complete with a ridge stack and coved, plastered eaves. The exterior showcases restored exposed vertical timbering filled with plaster. There are various 19th-century casements and French windows, and the foundations are made of random rubble.
